Question
In the Addendum to Section 4.5 of the TDS, Flight Score Prediction (Regular Class Only), point number 5 states that the file will be read directly by the software. From this, we understand that the density altitude will be provided as the input and the predicted flight score will be taken as the output.

How precise does the CSV file need to be, and how will the software handle cases where the measured density altitude does not exactly match a value in the file?
Answer
There is no requirement to have equal spacing in the density altitude breakpoints. You may elect to use 1 ft increments in some places and 100 ft increments in others, for example. Further, you may elect to duplicate density altitude breakpoints at a score transition point to prevent interpolation. The highest payload score prediction will be used in the case of duplicate density altitude breakpoints. Otherwise, the software will linearly interpolate between breakpoints.
