Pre-Registration Has Returned!
Teams who have placed top 3 overall in the 2024 season will be awarded the opportunity to register up to one week prior to registration opening to the general public. The registration is restricted to the correlating event location of the previous year. Aka, if you won top 3 in your class at SAE Aero Design East in 2024, you will have the ability to pre-register for the SAE Aero Design East 2025 event. Starting on September 24th at 10:00 AM ET, top placing teams from the 2024 season will have early access to register.
University Programs 2025 Schedule
The 2025 University Programs Schedule has been published on sae.org. These pages will be under construction for the next month as we update the pages to reflect the 2025 season.
General Info:
- 2 competitions - April & May
- $1550.00 USD per team
- 75 registered teams / 30 waitlist teams
- there will be NO 2 week restriction this year - if a team wishes to participate in both events, they are welcome to register for both on October 1st.
- waitlist teams do not pay until offered a registration spot
- waitlist teams must submit all required documents to maintain waitlist status
- waitlist closes one month prior to event
- Payment will be expected 2 business days after your invoice has generated (~72 hours after registration secured).
- NEW - The number of team members attending onsite per team will be capped at 30 this year. Teams are welcome to have more than 30 individuals work on their plane throughout the year and we encourage all team members to be added to the roster on sae.org. However, the roster will not permit more than 30 individuals to be marked as "attending." Please take this into account when planning travel for the season ahead!
