Registration Deadlines Extended & Free ETS Opportunities
The registration deadline for the 2021 SAE Aero Design Knowledge Event has been extended to December 4th! The Emerging Technology Series (ETS) registration deadline has also been extended until December 4th. Learn more below!
Free ETS Opportunities
SAE International's Pre-Professional Education Department is proud to present the Emerging Technology Series (ETS). A sister brand to our Collegiate Design Series (CDS), the Emerging Technology Series provides an opportunity for students to think critically about current and future emerging technologies in the mobility engineering industry. Each program within the SAE Emerging Technology Series challenges universities to create a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to collaborate, design, present, and defend conceptual designs to industry professionals.
In 2021 we have 2 ETS Programs Open for Registration! Registration for both programs will close on December 4, 2020.
SAE AeroConnect Challenge™
Teams of university students will design and develop, conceptually, an Urban Air Mobility System in response to a Florida based theme park request for proposal for upgrade to current mobility. Immersed in the SAE International's AeroTech conference, universities will present their solution in various ways including a technical design presentation and a showcase opportunity.
SAE MobilityForward Challenge™
Teams of university students will design an electric, personally owned micromobility vehicle solution for practical everyday use. It will accommodate up to two riders and have enough space for cargo option – essentially an electric micromobility vehicle that two people can take for an errand run. Immersed in SAE International's WCX™ SAE World Congress conference, universities will present their solution in various ways including a technical design presentation and a showcase booth opportunity.
